1. The service
Arbor Nota ("the service") is a bookmark-management application. By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use. You must verify your email address before you can use any workspace features.
3. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, abusive, or infringing content.
- No attempting to disrupt, attack, or reverse engineer the service.
- No automated scraping or excessive request volume that degrades service quality.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Personal accounts are free. Arbor Nota Pro is $6 / month. Arbor Nota Org Accounts are billed at $6 per seat per month (or annually). Adding a seat is charged on a prorated basis for the remainder of the billing period. Failed payments enter a 7-day grace period before features are restricted.
For every month of paid service, $1 per seat is donated to One Tree Planted, which plants approximately one tree.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rated refunds.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of all bookmarks and content you create. You grant us a limited license to store and display that content solely to operate the service. Bookmarks may be saved inside folders or at the root of a workspace. When you add a bookmark without a title, the service will fetch the page's HTML title to pre-fill the field; the fetched content is used only for that pre-fill and is not stored.
Inside an organization workspace, bookmarks stay within the organization by default. You may individually flag a bookmark as "allowed to be sent outside the organization" before sharing it externally.
7. Organization workspaces and monitoring
If you use an Arbor Nota Org Account workspace, your activity inside that organization workspace may be monitored by the organization's owners and admins.
- Organization owners and admins can view user activity inside the organization workspace, including logins, folder opens, bookmark clicks, items created, items moved, items shared, items sent, items archived, and items trashed.
- Members should not expect organization workspace activity to be private from organization owners or admins.
- Personal workspaces remain separate from organization workspace analytics and are not visible to organization owners or admins.
- Organization owners and admins are responsible for using analytics and monitoring features lawfully, including notifying their users where required by law or internal policy.
- Organization owners and admins are responsible for their use of any exported activity or analytics data.
- Password vault contents, secure folder passwords, and client-side encrypted credential data are never exposed in analytics.
- Arbor Nota may retain audit, security, billing, legal, and operational logs where required.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time, which permanently removes your data.
9. Disclaimer & liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arbor Nota is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
